Цими днями в Тернополі, у лютеранській семінарії Святої Софії читає лекції др. Керміт Мольденгауер (США). Тема лекцій: "Поклоніння і Літургія". Будучи богословом і знавцем хорового співу, музикознавцем,керівником церковних хорів проф.Мольденгауер подає гарні зразки християнських гімнів для різних свят і часів річного церковного календаря. Зокрема він поділився останніми розвідками,під час яких було знайдено чимало прегарних християнських гімнів. Мені особливо припав до душі гімн "Святий Духу,- голубе,зісланий з неба". Це чудово аранжована мексиканська християнська пісня в ритмі вальсу. А як прекрасно звучав гімн на слова Мартіна Лютера "У путах смерті він лежить" у виконанні хору! Реґент семінарії Н.Карпінська подарувала проф.Мольденгауеру примірник "Співаника" УЛЦ.

Kermit Moldenhauer has served as a teacher in WELS schools since 1971. He holds the Master in Church Music degree from Concordia University, River Forest, IL. and a Ph. D. from International Seminary, Plymouth, FL. In 1984 he was appointed as a member of the Joint Hymnal Committee and then, in 1990, as the Hymnal Project's Music Editor. As Music Editor it was his assignment to carry Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal and its accompaniment volume from manuscripts to publication. Along with Pastor Gary Baumler, Kermit also served as general editor of Christian Worship: Manual, published along with the hymnal in 1993, and alone edited The Verse of the Day, a set of verses and seasonal responses for use in the hymnal's services. He was a member of the CW subcommittee that has prepared the manuscripts for Christian Worship: Altar Book. He composed settings for the Common Service and Prayer at the Close of Day that appear in Christian Worship: New Service Settings. He is also a published composer of choral anthems and hymn concertatoes. He currently chairs a committee established by the Commission on Worship to prepare a Hymnal Supplement.
